Mavala is a brand I have only just become aware of. Mavala is a Swiss brand, which is cruelty free and vegan.
The bottles are rather small (5ml), which means they're a little pricier than other brands, costing around £4-5 but as far as I can tell it's worth it. Also, lets face it, who actually ever finishes a 15ml bottle of polish anyway?
I picked up two colours, Berlin and Trinidad, below are some photos of Berlin.
I chose this colour because I don't have anything like it at all in my collection and was intrigued at how it would look on the actual nails. The formula is easy to use and applies without any streaking and, despite the fairly obvious dink on my ring finger, it allows for a nice smooth finish. Having said that I did notice some bubbling on a few nails so it's not absolutely perfect.
The colour, on the other hand, is perfect. I this this grey is such a pretty colour and a very 'smart' colour too, suitable for all sorts of situations. The grey itself is almost a milky grey, and I personally think it has very blue undertones (which probably explains my infatuation with it).
Chippage was minimal and I would say it lasts a good length on the nails.
I haven't yet tried Trinidad, which is a bold blue colour, but after having used this one I am expecting good things from Trinidad.
So far I'm very pleased to have found Mavala polishes, they are definitely worth the price. So far I have seen them on sale in some Boots stores and Debenhams.
